Flange

Flange is detachable connecting part the most widely used in pipe and vessel. With the increasingly widely use of FRP pipe and vessel, the performance and production of FRP flange has been gradually paid more attention to. Common FRP flange is often used in the middle or low pressure pipe and vessel of which pressure is not more than 3MPa.

The main structural types are integral flange, bonded flange and lap-joint flange.

FYGRP flange manufacturing method has been applied for international patent. Module integrate forming design, using vacuum introduction process to manufacture, deformation is very small, it is different from manual flange products which has defects such as surface bubbles, uneven force, high resin content and low strength. Its manufacture process: Grind mold, clean mold, cover wax for demould, apply surface mat with 100% resin permeated, then apply fiberglass according to the design lamination, after that draw vacuum, finally impregnate resin, after curing to get flange blank, opening after demould and trimming.

Using vacuum introduction process can significantly improve strength and bearing pressure of the product, overcoming the shortcoming of flange hand lay-up in the past. FRP flange meets standards of DIN、BS、NF、UNI、ANSI、JIS、GB、ASME、CBM etc. Please contact tc@fygrp.com for details.
